SULFUR

PRONUNCIATION: Sul-fur

Sulfur has been in use since ancient times. It occurs naturally and is easy to find in the ground, often near volcanoes. Sulfur has a foul odor similar to the smell of rotting eggs. When sulfur reacts with oxygen it forms sulfur oxide, a substance that is flammable, explosive and dangerous to breathe in.

Sulfur can be found in volcanoes, fireworks and aswell as smelling of rotten eggs, it can also be found in eggs.
